Here's What the current owners have to say;
LIFE AT BRUNSWICK GARDENS VILLAGE…
Brunswick provided our parents with the perfect combination of independent and community living, a place where they felt happy and safe and were able to make new friends and join in activities and events whenever they wanted to.
They had their own home - their spacious, light and sunny apartment - while just a lift ride away, their own 'little village’ awaited, complete with restaurant, pub, corner shop, visiting fruit and veg market, a gym, a beauty centre and a very handy mini bank.
Mum was a wheelchair-user and everything was very easy for her to access.
They also enjoyed learning new hobbies. Dad loved classes in the art room; mum learned jewellery-making in the crafts room. They were regulars at the onsite library and in summer dad didn’t miss his garden because he could help out in the greenhouse.
They soon made a circle of friends to enjoy coffee mornings with, or a Sunday lunch in the restaurant.
They loved the games nights, shows, musical nights, the Christmas and Valentine’s dinners and coach outings regularly organised at Brunswick - which family could also be invited to enjoy.
Equally, they enjoyed just sitting downstairs to watch the world go by, chat to the many visitors and feel part of a lovely community.
They were regulars at the shop and and looked forward to the days when a pop-up fruit and veg stall, or a fashion boutique, arrived on-site.
Of the many facilities Brunswick Gardens Village provides, there are two well-equipped guest apartments, which residents can hire by the night if they have friends or family coming to visit.
They were invaluable to members of our family visiting from abroad for Christmas and family occasions.
One of the most valued aspects of life at Brunswick was the fact that when our parents’ health began to decline, there was no need for them to worry about having to make a huge lifestyle change and move to a care home.
They could stay right where they were - and take advantage of Brunswick's add-on, in-house care packages.
The carers were kind, supportive and friendly and mum and dad got to know them well.
The care provision could be increased or decreased to meet their needs. It gave them - and us - great comfort and a feeling of security.
